Basic

  • Server: 192.168.1.188
  • User name:
    • Administrador => If Spanish.
    • Administrator => If English.
  • Resolution: Custom 1280 * 960
    • Color depth: True color (32 bpp)

Advanced

  • Quality:
    • Best (slowest) => If local network
    • Poorest (fastest) => If not local network

Troubleshooting

If the connection via RDP to the windows host fails:

  1. Go to /home/<user>/.freerdp (maybe /home/<user>/.config/freerdp)
  2. Delete the entry in the known_hosts file for the offending host. If any other host is offending you, this is as good a time as any other to delete it. If you are having a bad day, delete them all.
  3. Try to connect again.
  4. If that does not work, delete the certificates in the certs directory.
